Quick Fix
RKill - Click and save this file to your desktop, or run it from here. This will temporarily terminate any fake “alert” messages on your desktop. Try running a scan with your antivirus and anti-malware software afterwards to remove the infection. Only RUN the software if you have a current infection, otherwise just SAVE the icon to your desktop for future use.
Ccleaner - Download and install this tool, reboot your computer, then run Ccleaner to purge excess files & file areas that potentially harvest malware and low-level infections.
MSSE32 / MSSE64 / MSSE-XP / AVG / Avast - If you don't have current antivirus software, install one of these and run a full scan when done; otherwise, update the software you do have and run a full scan. 32 and 64 refer to which version of Windows 7 or Vista you are running. If you aren’t sure, go to the System section of your Control Panel to find out. Remember, you can install multiple anti-malware programs, but only one antivirus program per computer.
MalwareBytes - Install this, update it, then scan for malware. Remove anything it finds.
PrevX - Install this real-time infection detector if you have kids or users that tend to download a lot of content off the web. The detection is free, and you can buy the software if you don’t want to manually remove any infections it finds.
RUBotted - Install this to detect active bots. If you cannot install this, click on this link for an online version: Online Bot Detector
